METALLICA: SOME KIND OF MONSTER
I’m honestly not sure if this would be worth seeing. I’m kind of curious, though.
Interesting CD: BOCKMAN’S EUPHIO: gorjus
Now Playing: “A Song I Heard The Ocean Sing”, from livephish.com [06/19/04].
Wilco was on WNYC’s Soundcheck today.
I just got The Best of the Move from Amazon. I’d never heard of these guys until a couple of weeks ago. They’re great. Their earlier stuff (late 60’s) is very psychedelic. Their later stuff (70’s) is kind of crunchy and messy. It’s all a lot of fun to listen to.
I just took a look at StubHub.com to see if they had tickets for the Phish show at the Tweeter Center that’s coming up in August. They’ve got tickets from $99 all the way up to $1095. I like Phish, but not *that* much.
The new CD is good. I just got it today and listened to about half of it right after I got home from work. It definitely helped melt some of the stress away.
I stumbled across a good blog today, looking for something Phish-related: Wax Banks: Music
I heard the original version of Do Ya on the radio yesterday. It’s really good. Nice and crunchy. I think I’d previously only heard the ELO version. Alas, iTunes only has the ELO version and not the older one. Amazon has it, on a “Best of The Move” collection, but it ain’t cheap.
There are two new Chris Whitley albums out on Messenger Records, and you can only buy them direct from their web site. I haven’t heard either one yet, but they should be good.
