Palm TX and Z22. It’s probably time for me to get a new Palm, but I’m still not seeing anything compelling enough to make me want to trade in my i705.

cheap hard drives
I noticed a 400GB SATA drive in CostCo today, for $250. I thought that was pretty amazing, but I just checked Froogle, and that’s actually not an uncommon price. And here I am with a measly 100 GB.
spending money
My new mattress is mighty comfy. Definitely worth the money.
I ordered a new iBook today. Basically, the current standard 14″ model, with the RAM upped to 1 GB. I’m getting almost $500 for my old one, which pays for a bit under half the new one. Good deal.
IOGEAR KVM
Would this be a good KVM to use with a Mac Mini?
New Camera
I bought a Minolta Dimage Z10 this weekend. I used it to take a bunch of pictures at my friend’s anniversary party yesterday, and it seems to have worked well. I’ll post the pictures later.
palmOne Tungsten T5 Handheld
Time for a new handheld? Maybe. My i705 is starting to show its age.
No More Palm.Net
Palm.Net to cease 31 August: I discontinued my Palm.Net account some time ago, but I still have my Palm i705. I guess the antenna is officially useless now. Oh well. The web service on my cell phone is pretty bad. Time to switch to a Treo 600 maybe?
new notebook computer
I’ve been thinking about buying a new notebook computer. I don’t absolutely need one, but the old one is getting a little dated. I’ve been thinking that maybe I’m jumping the gun, and the old one ought to hold me for another year, but I just checked, and I bought it in January 2001, so it’s more than three years old now. And I bought it refurbished. So, yep, it’s about time.
Verizon
I signed up for a new 2-year agreement with Verizon Wireless this week, and got a new Kyocera KX414 phone. The reviews on this phone over at Wireless Gaming Review aren’t too good, but I wasn’t really intending to use it for gaming. I’m trying to decide if I should sign up for Get It Now for e-mail and web access, then just cancel my palm.net account. It’d be cheaper, but the screen is so tiny, and there’s only the numeric keypad, so it seems like it’d be a pain to use.
backups
I got tired of trying to back up my 80 GB hard drive to 15 GB tapes today, so I ran out and bough a 120GB Maxtor OneTouch. Much faster and easier.
