In case anyone’s interested, here are all the parts I ordered from Newegg:

I’m thinking about replacing most of the guts of my desktop computer again. I last did this in October 2002, so I’m about due. I’m looking at an ASUS A8N-SLI motherboard, an Athlon 64 3200+ processor, an Asus AX550 video card, a gig or two of Corsair RAM, a WD 250 GB hard drive, and maybe a DVD burner and a new power supply. The lot could set me back about $900. I still need to do some more research, but I think I’ve identified a bunch of stuff that should work well together. I’ll probably be sticking with Newegg again — I got the parts for my current computer from them, and they’ve generally been competent and fair.

I picked up an iHome from Costco today. If all goes well, I should wake up to the sounds of John Coltrane tomorrow.

Palm TX and Z22. It’s probably time for me to get a new Palm, but I’m still not seeing anything compelling enough to make me want to trade in my i705.

I noticed a 400GB SATA drive in CostCo today, for $250. I thought that was pretty amazing, but I just checked Froogle, and that’s actually not an uncommon price. And here I am with a measly 100 GB.

Would this be a good KVM to use with a Mac Mini?

I bought a Minolta Dimage Z10 this weekend. I used it to take a bunch of pictures at my friend’s anniversary party yesterday, and it seems to have worked well. I’ll post the pictures later.

Time for a new handheld? Maybe. My i705 is starting to show its age.
