I just posted some pictures from Gene and Helen’s housewarming party. Enjoy.

SuperShagLand
SuperShagLand — bizarre Flash game.
Update 07/08/2018: The original link here is long gone, so I was just going to delete this post, but I searched online for a mirror of the game, just for yuks. I couldn’t find one, but I found an article on the Foreign Policy site (from 2009) mentioning it:
Consider www.supershagland.com. Developed by the British nonprofit educational foundation K-Generation, Super Shag Land advocates safe sex and hiv/aids prevention. Since launching Super Shag Land in November 2001, K-Generation says it has reached 125,000 people with its game, during which naked characters trying to get lucky win points by gathering condoms and lose points by drinking alcohol.
There probably aren’t a lot of Flash games left on the web. Flash is almost dead now. But there were definitely some weird little games made with it, back in the early 2000s.
Peanuts
Gene and Helen
Went to Gene and Helen’s housewarming party on Saturday. Nice house.
Favorite comment (from someone who clearly wasn’t aware that they’re vegetarians): “Who catered this thing? Baboons?”
Also got to see Jaimie and Sue’s house. Also nice. Cute kid too.

Britney Spears
Britney Spears has her own restaurant!
I wonder if I can convince anyone to go with me? (Maybe if I don’t tell them about the Britney connection…)
Good music
Somerset County Recycling
…I just realized I haven’t tied up the newspapers and put them out for recycle since March. Oops.
Einstein’s Intelligence Quiz
It took me about an hour to solve this. I’m not sure why I bothered; puzzles like this usually don’t interest me. I guess it was the “98% of the people in the world cannot solve the quiz” line that motivated me. That can’t possibly be right, can it? It wasn’t that hard!
Tour of Somerville
Jonas Carney won the Tour of Somerville last weekend. Here’s the write up from the Star-Ledger, which will probably only be valid for another week or so. The funny thing about this article is that they interview a guy named Mark Garney, who I used to work with. He comes out for the race every year, but I’ve never managed to run into him. Maybe next year!
