site design
I’m playing around with a new site design. Mostly black & white, with simple graphics using the “Poor Richard” font. It still needs some work. I definitely need to work on the way this text looks, for instance. And, oh yeah, I need to find a better HTML editor than HomeSite 2, which has gotta be about 10 years old now. Maybe TopStyle?
slashdot
Good slashdot thread on the sorry state of the American people.

Yahoo
Well, it looks like the problems with Yahoo got better. Let’s see, how’s this one look?
Yahoo grief
Urk. Yahoo is giving me grief. Will this publish OK?
AdSubtract
Hmmm, it looks like AdSubtract is subtracting the comment links from these Blog entries. I’ll have to look into that. (Adsubtract is nice, other than occasionally subtracting something it shouldn’t, like this.)
Some thoughts and links
Warchalking — maybe I should go draw one of these symbols on the tree out front, and see if anyone tries to hook into my Airport base station.
Swaine’s World — often interesting.
Comic Books: A Research Guide — I stumbled over this while I was looking for something else. Who knew the NY Public Library had a page on their web site devoted to comics?
AdSubtract — I usually don’t mind Internet ads, but too many people are putting up blinking ads that make my head hurt when I look at them. I mean, really, who the hell is going to buy something from someone who’s putting up ads that blink so fast that they’re causing headaches???
Einstein’s Intelligence Quiz
It took me about an hour to solve this. I’m not sure why I bothered; puzzles like this usually don’t interest me. I guess it was the “98% of the people in the world cannot solve the quiz” line that motivated me. That can’t possibly be right, can it? It wasn’t that hard!
