Looks like there’s a bunch of new stuff going on with Blogger. The new look is cute, and posting from Mozilla seems to work better than it used to. Nice. (This, by the way, is post #342 to my blog, according to the new counter on the “dashboard” page.)

Blogger
….and hey, the new Blogger interface looks good in Mozilla too! That’s a first. I’ll have to look at in Safari on my Mac tomorrow.
Blogger
Woohoo! I’ve been moved over to the new version of Blogger! I’m not sure it does anything the old version didn’t do, but it sure is pretty!
Dad
Yikes! It looks like my Dad has discovered my home page. (At very least, he’s discovered my guest book.) I’m going to have to be careful what I say now!
In case anyone ever wants to look through all my really old Blog entries, I just created index pages for 2001 and 2002. Apparently, I started Blogging in June 2001, and I haven’t stopped. I also haven’t said anything interesting yet, either. Oh well.
blogging from the iBook
Just for yuks, I’m blogging from Mozilla on my iBook. The Blogger interface actually looks OK, although it doesn’t have some of the functionality it has under IE on Windows.
Blogger hacked
Geocities
Is Geocities putting stuff at the bottom of this web page? When I look at the page source now, there’s a bunch of crap at the bottom of the page, after the /html.
commenting
I just took all the stuff related to the commenting system out of my blog template code. I can’t get to their website now, so maybe they’re gone. Either way, it seemed to be slowing things down.
hosting
I’m trying to decide whether or not I want to pay for .mac. It would be a much easier decision if the homepages function supported FTP uploading. Then, I could move this site over there, and have Blogger automatically post its pages, the way I can do with GeoCities (for $5/month). Then, I could drop the GeoCities account. It would also be an easier decision, if I wasn’t still using Mac OS 9. Some of the .mac stuff seems to be specific to OS X. Oh well, you can’t always have everything.
commenting
I just added a commenting system to this blog. Click “comments” below, if you want to try it out.
