This guy dressed up as Nick Fury for Halloween, and put together a PowerPoint presentation for people considering a career with S.H.I.E.L.D. Very funny.

Stinking Bishop
Yes, there really is a cheese called Stinking Bishop. And, of course, after the Wallace & Gromit movie, I (and probably many other W&G fans) would love to try it, even if it does “smell of old socks”, as the description states.
House of Cosbys
This thing is pretty funny.
Flying Spaghetti Monsterism
Heather pointed out the Flying Spaghetti Monsterism site to me a while ago. Very funny. And now it has a wikipedia page.
Hueytown
My Guestbook has a new entry in it from a fellow named Wallace Andrew Huey, who pointed me to the Hueytown Historical Society home page. Interesting stuff. I had no idea there was a Hueytown. Sounds like someplace I should visit, should I ever get to Alabama! Thanks!
Spamlot
Went to see Spamalot last night. Very good. Lots of Tim Curry. Lots of silliness. And a bit of fourth-wall breaking near the end.
Comic Book Guy
Comic Book Guy’s real name was revealed during last night’s post-football Simpson’s episode: Jeff Albertson. Not terribly exciting, but it sounds about right. Also, there was a brief shot of CBG’s web site, www.dorks-gone-wild.com, which is, of course, now a real web site, presumably created by the Simpson’s folks.
Stan Freberg
Here’s an old Mark Evanier column about Stan Freberg.
IBM
This photo seems kind of funny now, given this week’s news about IBM’s PC business.

N.J. Town Balks As Man Plans Giant ‘Star Wars’ Model
I don’t see any good reason why this guy shouldn’t be allowed to build a giant sandcrawler in his yard.
