There’s a nice bit on Kaiju Big Battel on the NPR web site.

Jermaine Rogers
This is the guy who did the cover for the In Honor compilation. There’s some really neat artwork on his website.
In Honor: A Compilation To Beat Cancer
In Honor is out. I got my copy a couple of days ago. I listened to disc 1 in the car today, and it’s got some good stuff on it.
Trey Anastasio
New Trey stuff on livephish.com, for anyone who needs a post-Phish fix.
Light the Night
Yay! I’ve reached my $200 goal for Light the Night. (Don’t let that stop you from throwing a few more bucks in, though, if you’re so inclined.)
John Lennon’s Jukebox
A fun show on PBS a few days back: John Lennon’s Jukebox. And there’s a two CD set available from Amazon, though only as an import. I wonder if I could find all these songs on iTunes and copy them down to my iPod?
Kopi Luwak
Kopi Luwak coffee: I heard about this some time ago. It got a mention in News of the Weird this week. Still weird.
Too much TiVo
I’ve got eight episodes of Battlestar Galactica on my TiVo alerady. (They had a mini-marathon on the SciFi channel today.) Yikes.
new TiVo
I went out and bought a TiVo today. It seems to be working OK so far, but I do have to say that the IR blaster is a total kludge. It looks silly, and it takes longer than it should to change channels. All cable boxes, TVs, VCRs, etc, should have a standard serial port. Or Bluetooth. How hard would that be?
I now have a TV, VCR, DVD player, laserdisc player, PlayStation 2, and a TiVo. I think I’m done with A/V equipment for now. I have no room to put anything else!
